Urban Innovation in Illinois

Awards will be made for innovative activities in the following areas:
• Citizen Involvement
• Service Delivery
• Economic Development
• Quality of Life
• Fiscal Responsibility
• Globalization

Each of these categories is divided into governments 25,000 population and over and governments under 25,000. Based on past competitions, we expect to make about 20 awards. Applications may fall under two or more categories.

If you have an innovation, don't be overly concerned with our categories, they are fairly broad! What matters is that the innovation has been implemented.
